Ganaherb Therapeutics was established in 2020 as a spin-off factory for ICE HERBAL RESEARCH CENTRE, a leading research, development and producer of herbal pharmaceutical products and beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic) in Ghana over a decade. Most flagship herbal medicines and alcoholic bitters owed their root or origin to ICE HERBAL RESEARCH CENTRE. Ganaherb Therapeutics and its mother company, Ice Herbal Research Centre were established by Nutifafa Takyi ‘Dr’, a renowned biomedical scientist with over 26 years experience in the research and development of herbal medicines in Ghana.

He worked with the Centre for Plant Medicine Research, Mampong Akwapim for 15 years in the Pharmacology /Toxicology and Experimental Animals Department, 7 years as Research and Development Director of Phytotec Ltd, 3 years at the Electron Microscopy and Histopathology Department of the Noguchi Medical Research Legon, 37 Military Hospital, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and other health and research institutions in Ghana. Mr Takyi, is a registered Traditional Health Practitioner(TMPC) under the Ministry of Health of Ghana.

Ganaherb Therapeutics seeks to research, develop and scientifically produce affordable herbal medicines with proven safety, efficacy and quality to meet the health care need of Ghana and beyond.
